Static Caravans for Sale on the Isle of Wight

A Small Yet Spectacular Landscape

As a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and around half designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the environment and natural history of the Isle of Wight have much to offer any prospective visitors! Its landscapes are remarkably varied, and the island has even been described as being ‘England in miniature’! To the west it is largely rural and possesses a dramatic coastline of chalk cliffs culminating in the Needles, a series of sea stacks just off the coast – truly an awe inspiring view.

Unique Towns and Villages

Newport is the county town and main shopping centre – despite its name it is not on the coast, but it’s a great spot to find out more about the unique island culture from places like the Museum of Island History and the Quay Arts Centre! Ryde is the largest town and boasts the oldest pier in England, as well as a soft sand beach popular with both locals and tourists. Also popular with visitors are Cowes, Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor – all gorgeous seaside towns with plenty to offer visitors!

A Range of Seaside Attractions

The Isle of Wight offers a full range of activities associated with a traditional British seaside holiday, and is also well known for its sailing opportunities. It has a good range of places for all kinds of interests – history buffs should check out Carisbrooke Castle, the Classic Boat Museum in East Cowes, and Shanklin Chine, while the botanic gardens at Ventnor provide a good opportunity for a leisurely walk. Attractions that children are sure to enjoy include Robin Hill adventure playground, the Isle of Wight zoo, and Monkey Haven in Newport!
