Static Caravans for Sale in Herefordshire

A Tranquil Natural Landscape

The county is best understood in relation to the grand Wye Valley, whose river flows north to south. Herefordshire is the most wooded county in the West Midlands, with plenty of forest areas to explore, and has some spectacular hills to hike up, such as the Malverns, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with beautiful views for miles around.

Historic Towns and Rural Villages

Hereford is the county town and the only city, by virtue of its stunning cathedral – Hereford Cathedral has much that is of interest beyond its spectacular exterior, not least the Mappa Mundi, which is the first known map of the world! Those with an interest in history can also check out the charming Black and White House, a preserved Jacobean building frozen in time to represent ordinary Hereford life from centuries ago.

Other towns include Ross-on-Wye, Ledbury, Leominster, Kington and Bromyard, and there are many pretty villages scattered around the county including Kilpeck, Bishops Frome and Weobley – why not have a bike ride around one of the many local cycle trails and explore these picturesque towns?

Outdoor Activities

As well as the towns and villages, Herefordshire has much to offer the visitor. The River Wye is famous for its salmon fishing, and is well used by canoeists and for other water sports! There is a good range of castles and historic houses that can be visited, including the Brockhampton Estate and Eastnor Castle. Offa’s Dyke is an ancient earthwork, built as a barrier between England and Wales, that can now be explored along a long distance path! For those who prefer to travel by car there is the popular Cider Route, where you can pick up some of the finest cider in the country while enjoying scenic hamlets, as well as a tour of the Black and White villages.
